A meeting will be held on August 7th (Wednesday) at the Special Connections office at 6:00pm for all interested in participating in our League. Something new this year: Team scores will be tallied and kept track of for awards at the end of the season in October. (Special Olympics bowlers be sure to read the note below) There will be a cap on the number of league bowlers, and that number will depend on how many Special Olympics bowlers advance to the next level from the Regional competition on 8/10. Precedence will be given to those returning from last year.
League sessions will run on Tuesdays starting August 20th through October 15th (9 weeks), bowling 2 games, and starting at 5:00. League bowlers will be bowling the same time as Special Olympic Sectional Qualifiers.
The cost to bowl in our league is $72 for both traditional bowlers and ramp bowlers. Paperwork and payment (or Scholarship/payment plan application) are due by 8/13. There is no bowling that day, but I will be at the Special Connections office 5-7pm for anyone that needs to drop off paperwork/payment.
**Special Olympics Bowlers**
Special Olympics bowlers who want to participate in the league have already filled out the paperwork, but please register for League to confirm you still want to participate whether or not you advance to Sectionals. Special Olympics bowlers who earn gold at Regional competition will still bowl 3 games each week at practice for Sectionals, and if participating in the league standings will have their first 2 games at practice count towards those standings. All Special Olympics bowlers have the option to pay for the next session at Regional immediately after finding out if they advance to Sectionals or not. Sectional qualifiers fee will be $90. If you don't advance, but then bowl in the league, the fee will be $72 as stated above.
